Easter Vigil The three PIC congregations in Illinois will celebrate
Easter Vigil on April 11, 2009 at St. Luke’s Church in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Bishop Val Lorejo will be the presider
and preacher.
Good Friday In celebration of Good Friday on April 10, 2009,
representatives from three PIC congregations in Illinois will give reflections on the Seven Last Words of Christ. The service
also includes receiving the Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament and Veneration of the Cross. The service will be held
at St. Luke’s Church in Bloomingdale.
Feast of Sto. Niño On
January 18, 2009, St. James Church will celebrate the Feast of Señor Santo Niño. The celebration begins at 5
PM with novena, procession, Holy Mass, and Sinulog, and then followed by dinner and dance in the parish hall.
Joint-Christmas Party The
three PIC congregations in Illinois held a joint Christmas party on Dec. 27, 2008, Saturday at Lone Tree Manor in Niles. Members
and friends of the three churches shared joy and laughter in the party with Christmas carols, dinner, special presentations,
fun games for adults and children, Santa Claus' gift-giving to children, music and dance.
Novena to Sto. Niño St. James' Church is conducting
a novena to Sto. Niño at members' residence once a month. For more information about the schedule of the novena please

Happy Christening Carrlanden, the first child of Allan and Grace Else, was received into the household
of God on December 13, 2008. He was baptized by Bishop Val Lorejo at St. James' Church. Reception was held at Lone Tree
Manor in Niles, Illinois.
Wedding Bells The Rev.
Roberto Pamatmat and Lorena Felix exchanged their solemn vows in Holy Matrimony last September 26, 2008 at One-in-Christ Episcopal
Church in Park Ridge, Illinois. Lorena is the eldest daughter of Simon and Anita Felix. Roberto is the son of Bishop Roberto
Sr. and Teodora Delos Reyes Pamatmat. Fr. Primitivo Racimo officiated at the ceremony, Fr. Alberto Liggayu was the preacher,
and Fr. Paul Joo presided at the Holy Eucharist. The primary sponsors of the newly-wed couple were Mrs. Marcia Felix, Mrs.
Consuelo Velasco, Mr. Virgilio Maghuyop, and Fr. Alberto Liggayu. The wedding reception was held at Lone Tree Manor Restaurant
in Niles.

IFI Proclamation Anniversary On August 3, 2008,
the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) will celebrate the 106th anniversary of its birth and the gift of the Holy
Spirit to carry out Christ's mission to the world. The IFI, a church of the poor, laborers, and immigrants, has a
rich history of dedicated people with steadfast love for truth, good deeds, peace and justice. The Church has been constantly
nourished and renewed by God's grace and mercy.
