Dear
Father Pamatmat,
”Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life” (Psalm 54:4).
In behalf of the Diocese of Rizal
and Pampanga, I wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to you and the whole congregation of St. Augustine's PIC,
Chicago, for your prayers and donations. I just came back from the bank and have confirmed the transfer of P43,518.90
from your parish. The donation will be a great help for our continuing efforts to assist the countless typhoon victims in
the Diocese of Rizal and Pampanga.
As of today, we have delivered relief goods to the areas of
Marikina City (500 families), Pililla, Rizal (250 families), and Candating, Arayat, Pampanga (500 families). We will
be assisting next week the communities of Taguig City and Morong, Rizal. We are also preparing medical missions to the affected
areas.
Once again, thank you very much for your help. May God continually bless us as instruments of His bountiful
grace.
Respectfully yours,

AN
APPEAL FOR RELIEF ASSISTANCE
September 29, 2009
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Recently, many people in the Philippines have suffered another
calamity of catastrophic proportion. On September 26, 2009, typhoon Ondoy brought a month's worth of rainfall to Metro Manila
and nearby areas in just a few hours, causing severe flooding which resulted in the loss of many lives, the destruction of
properties, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. The Diocese of Rizal and Pampanga, Philippine Independent
Church has made an appeal for disaster relief assistance for the victims of the floods in different areas in the diocese.
The Diocese includes the Metro Manila cities of Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Mandaluyong, and Malabon.
In response to their appeal, St. Augustine’s Parish, PIC in Chicago would like
to ask your help in providing financial assistance to the work of the Diocese of Rizal and Pampanga in providing the immediate
needs of the evacuees and long term rehabilitations in affected areas.
Please make your checks payable to St. Augustine’s Parish, PIC and write
IFI Relief Fund in the memo. Send your donations to the following address:
St. Augustine’s Parish, PIC
3857 N. Kostner Avenue
Chicago, IL 60641
With faith, hope and love, we join with others
in prayers for all the victims of calamities and natural disasters in the Philippines and in other parts of the world and
for those who provide them with life-saving assistance.
In solidarity
with Christ’s love,
The Rev. Roberto Pamatmat
