On March 7, 2010, a memorial service will be offered
for the 40th day death anniversary of Nympha Sarvida, JR’s sister. St. Augustine ’s service will begin at 5 PM
at St. John’s Church. Potluck and fellowship after the service. On
March 14, 2010, a thanksgiving service will be celebrated by St. Augustine’s congregation for the healing and recovery
of Ver Maghuyop. The service begins at 12 noon at Maghuyop’s residence, located at 2703 W. 18th Street , Chicago ,
IL 60608 . Potluck and fellowship after the service. On March 20,
2010, a memorial service will be offered for the 40th day death anniversary of Leon Racimo, father of Fr. Primo. The service
begins at 2:30 pm and it will be held at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 2555 E. 73rd Street, Chicago , IL 60649. On February 27, 2010, a memorial service was offered for the 40th day death
anniversary of Fernando Tiburcio, brother of Jessie Racimo. The service started at 3 PM and it was held at St. Margaret's
Episcopal Church, 2555 E. 73rd Street, Chicago, IL 60649.

EAM Chicago dinner with Bishop Lee
The Episcopal Asiamerica Ministries in Chicago had a dinner
meeting with Bishop Jeffrey Lee and his wife Lisa on December 2, 2009 at Seoul Garden Restaurant, in Northbrook, Illinois.

Fiesta Celebration
On August 30, 2009, St. Augustine’s celebrated its 15th foundation anniversary and the
feast of its patron saint. The celebration began with Holy Eucharist participated by the three PIC congregations in Illinois.
The Rev. Roberto Pamatmat was installed as the fourth rector of the parish by Bishop Raul Tobias. Following the service, the
celebration continued with festive dinner, fellowship and special entertainments at the parish hall.
Holy Baptism
Janelle,
daughter of Fr. Roberto and Lorena Pamatmat, was received into the household of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism
on August 29, 2009. Bishop Raul Tobias administered the Holy Baptism and he was assisted by Bishop Val Lorejo. After the service,
reception was held at Lone Tree Manor in Niles.
Baby Shower
St. Augustine’s
members held
a baby shower for Lorena on April 19, 2009. Fr. Jojo and Lorena Pamatmat are expecting a baby girl in June.
Parish Retreat
St. Augustine’s Church conducted a retreat on March 28, 2009, Saturday at the residence of Esguerra
family in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. The theme of the retreat was "Time, Talent, and Treasures: Mission Imperatives".Fr. Jojo Pamatnat,
Bro. Rudy Del Mundo, and Fr. Primo Racimo were the facilitators.
Ash
Wednesday
On
the first day of the Lenten season this year, St. Augustine’s Parish held Ash Wednesday service last February 25, 2009
at the residence of Santos family in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Fr. Jojo Pamatmat presided at the service. There was imposition
of blessed ashes on the foreheads of worshippers as a sign of penitence and a reminder of mortality.
18th Birthday Party
On January 16, 2009, a dinner-dance party was held at
Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows, Illinois in celebration of the eighteenth birthday of Camille Anne, daughter of Virgilio
and Annie Maghuyop.
