A Bishop’s Appeal
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Warm Christian greetings!
All roads lead to the City of Cagayan de Oro as the Diocese in Misamis Oriental,
Bukidnon & Camiguin (MOBUCA) hosts the 11th General Assembly of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente on May 6-9,
2008. This gathering will convene some 250 official delegates from among the bishops, clergy and lay leaders all over the
IFI dioceses, both local and abroad, together with prominent guests coming from our sister churches worldwide. To prepare
for their coming, the Church constructs a PhP 4 million Diocesan Center to cater to accommodation needs. We are
almost halfway in our preparations but we need more generous friends to support us for the realization of this project.
I appeal from your
generosity to support this endeavor. We know that any support you extend will significantly reduce the burden of our enormous
responsibility and, to a great extent, aid us in our continuing discernment of the work of the Holy Spirit in the world today
through His church, the IFI.
