Dearest Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings of peace to you!

I would like to share with you the highlights of the forthcoming General Assembly that will take place at Cagayan de Oro on May 6-9, 2008. I know this information is very much needed in making your plans to participate and be part of this important church gathering.

In addition, sectoral organizations will have their separate triennial conventions to elect new set of officers and to approve their program plan of actions based from the Three Year Rolling Plan. Your presence and the presence of your delegates are very much needed as we plan to present the proposed programs and budget of the church for the next triennium.

Furthermore, I would like to inform you that the EXECOM has declared 2008 as The Golden Year of Ecumenism based from the IFI’s membership of the World Council of Churches. It is our prayer that your local church will launch related activities to help us promote, enhance and enrich the consciousness of the members of the church about ecumenism. Also, please include in your intercession during the mass on the last week of February as Vocation Campaign Week.

May the love of Jesus Christ continue to guide you and your family and fill your hearts with His gifts of peace, hope, good health and happiness.   Should you have other concerns and issues that need further clarifications please don’t fail to call my attention.
