Intercessions

Illumined by the light of Christ, we pray for the church and the world:

-- For the healing of the broken world.

-- For the unity and mission of all churches of Christ and for the Philippine Independent Church.

-- For the Most Rev. Godofredo J. David, for Bishop Raul C. Tobias, and for all the clergy and members of the Diocese of USA and Canada, Philippine Independent Church.

-- For the mission of St. Luke’s Parish in Bloomingdale, Illinois, for their Parish Council, for all its members, and for Fr. Alberto Liggayu, their pastor.

-- For Saint Paul’s Theological Seminary in Iloilo City, for the Very Rev. Larry J. Herrera, for all the faculty and students, and for all the donors and benefactors of the seminary.

-- For the aged whose increasing years bring them weakness, distress, or isolation, and for all who provide care and help to their needs.

-- For the help and care of those who are lonely, in despair, and in trouble.
-- For those who are struggling to survive because of rising costs of food, fuel, medicines, and healthcare services.

-- For all the victims of calamities, for the homeless, for those in despair, and for those in danger of diseases and malnutrition.

-- For all the victims of racism, injustices and oppressions in every land.

-- For all the Filipino migrant workers in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand and for their families in the Philippines.

God of loving-kindness, you have ordered all things for our benefit. Listen to our prayers and answer them with blessings. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For the Mission of the Church

Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
